In 1994 the World Pension Forum landed in South Africa with a delegation comprised of State Treasurers, institutional investors, endowment fund managers, pension managers, money managers and a number of special guest including the late Michael Kennedy. During this trip they met with Global Icon President Nelson Mandela, fellow Nobel Prize Winner Desmond Tutu, Future President Thabo Mbeki, Minister of Finance Trevor Manuel, and Justice Albie Sachs of the Constitutional Court.
