The World Pension Forum was the first investment trade mission to visit China from the United States, following the opening of their economy. The timing offered an unprecedented opportunity for the World Pension Forum’s delegates to engage with the country’s top leadership including President Jiang Zemin. The iconic visit boosted an array of amazing experiences, including a rare opportunity granted by the President for the delegation to get permission to host a reception and dinner on The Great Wall of China. The trade mission toured the Forbidden City and Great Hall of the People, where President Jiang Zemin hosted them.
