Former Mayor of New York City, David Dinkins continues the legacy he and his wife, Joyce Dinkins started by hosting President Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela at Gracie Mansion on their first visit to the United States. In 2017 and 2018 Mayor Dinkins with the WPF hosted the global icon’s grandson, Ndaba Mandela during his “Going to the Mountain, Life Lessons of My Grandfather” book launch hosted by the World Pension Forum in 2018. It was decided at this event that the World Pension Forum would be reorganized into the World Pension Forum Foundation with founder Phillip Shaefer serving as Chairman and Former Mayor Dinkins, L. Mychal Jefferson, & Ndaba Mandela serving as Vice Chairman. Chris Koehs would transition from Executive Director of World Pension Forum to the President of World Pension Forum Foundation.
